Qanimts

Programme Note:

Qanimts is a collaboration between Remy Siu and Russell Wallace. Originally imagined as a “Salish Beatbox,” the piece uses Salish consonants as its dominant sound material. The voices featured are that of Russell Wallace and his daughter, Justine Wallace. The piece was commissioned for a retrospective event at the Western Front for the artist group “Neo-Nativism.”
